My New Skin Regimen

Hi Chingus! 

Yea~ I know..my hiatus took a long time indeed. Too may events had happened and I don't want to rant it on my come back post. These "issues" that I don't want to talk about is one of the main reason why I want to step up when it comes to my facial regimen. How are they connected??? Well if you see my bare face, I'd look like a zombie to you (─‿‿─) and I blame it on all the stress that I have been experiencing..errr I just ranted! 
Anyways moving forward, I've been following different blogs that has various topic regarding skin care and of course they don't stick on a single "brand" of product. Honestly, I created the list of different products that I was willing to try but in the end I got lazy and just wanted to have a single skin care line so I won't be hopping from one store to another to complete my skin care set. Luckily, one of my work colleague is a beauty consultant of Mary Kay Philippines and he suggested for me to use Mary Kay's Time Wise Skin Care set to fight early to moderate signs of face aging. 

 This particular set is for normal to dry skin type. It's four products are formulated to work together morning and night to cleanse, exfoliate, freshen, smooth, hydrate, firm, soften, energize, rebuild and reduce fine lines and wrinkles - Mary Kay

Ok~ so this is the picture of my bare face..well half of it. You can clearly see the large pores, blemishes and black heads ╥﹏╥

And the closer look at my eye...you can clearly notice the dark or somehow brownish skin color around the eye as well as some fine lines. I can all blame it to the genes but I need to help my skin out. I'll update you guys on the result of my Mary Kay skin care venture after a month (⌒.−)＝★

Maybelline Hello Kitty Volum' Express Mascara

I've been using a new mascara lately. I found it on my loot box where I keep untouched cosmetics that I purchase. I got this limited edition Maybelline's Hello Kitty Volum' Express Mascara at a sale held at...oh wait I'm not sure if it's ok to say it. I remember the packaging tried to cover the sign "For Sale in Japan Only" hihi! 

Price: 100 pesos

Product Claims: Get stylized lashes with 5x the volume and not a single clump. This waterproof Curl Lock Formula sets to a seductive 75 degree curl for 18 hours of savagely sexy lashes clump-free. 

Almost everything at the back panel of the carton is all in Japanese writing. I can't read them so I just took a picture of what I think is important （＾ｖ＾）

What I like about it ..  

• I was able to buy it at a discounted price
• Classy metallic pink packaging 
• Waterproof/Sweatproof 
• One application last the whole day 

What I don't like about it ..     

• Limited edition
• Not locally available 
• It clumps even at first coat 
• So stubborn on make-up removal  

Will I try it again? 

• Well, nope..simply because there are other mascara that are available locally that offer better results. Nonetheless, I will still continue on using this product.  

Avon Super Magnify Mascara

I've been keeping myself busy on ideas on what to write on my blog. I still have my small loot box full of products that I would like to write a review on LOL. I hope you guys won't get tired of me  Today, I'd be sharing to you my favorite mascara so far, which is Super Magnify Mascara by Avon. I've been using it since last year and I'm already on my second tube.

Product Description: "Leave no Lash Behind" Avon designed a brush that magnifies fullness and definition of eyelashes. It has 5:1 bristles-to-lash ratio that can reach smaller lashes. This waterproof mascara also offers smudge, clump and flake free formula which is also suitable to contact lens wearers (credits:http://media.avoncompany.com)

Directions: Prior to first use, take out the brush and re-insert it into the vial 2-3 times or until the teal portion is fully covered. This will ensure maximum shock and even coverage. Apply mascara in sweeping upward strokes with two coats for extreme results.

I used two coats of mascara on my upper lashes

What I like about it ..  

• Most of the time this is sold at a discounted price
• Waterproof/Sweatproof 
• Does not smudge
• Does not clump on the lashes 
• Easy application because of the wand bristles    
• One application last the whole day 

What I don't like about it ..    

• Can be purchased only at official Avon store outlets and Avon Lady representative
• Product is seasonal 
• Can be stubborn during make-up removal

Will I try it again?   

• Yes! Definitely! Although I have plans on splurging on expensive mascara this product is for keeps. The price matches the product's functionality and can somehow match up with other branded mascara.

How's your week goin'? I was not able to rest well as I've worked 6 days last week and only had 1 day to rest But I did not let the weekend pass without making up with hubby. I make sure that I'd be able to do something to make him smile

Anyways..let's get back to business hehe! Way back my payday I bought 2 sheets of  I Need You, Green Tea! Mask Sheet from Etude House. I've never used a mask sheet before so this is my first time as well. I chose the Green Tea mask because it claims to have an extract that soothes and comforts stressed and fatigued skin...sounds perfect for workaholic boys and gals

 The mask sheet is big enough to fit on our face...see you can even see Rin-chan outside  

Were like this for 30 minutes...sweetnesss overload!   

What I like about it .. 

• The mask is big enough to fit your whole face
• It's inexpensive
• Hint of green tea smell 
• My face feels light and refreshed while the mask is on

What I don't like about it ..

• The mask is dripping wet when taken out of the package 
• Some solution on the mask keeps on dripping from the edges while the mask is on my face
• My face felt kinda sticky after removing the mask
• After the leftover solution dried up on my face..my face felt kinda dried to

Will I try it again?  
Yes and I'll even try different brands. I didn't really know what to expect on facial mask and the label said you would need to use mask like 2-3 times a week to see its effect. So I'll venture to a different type of facial mask next time. ~Urgh..I just remembered I still have some mask given to me on my birthday

What facial mask can you recommend for me to use?

I've been very busy these past weeks and I have a long list of overdue post ―(T_T)→ ~ I have many things to share and my blog is becoming a beauty blog somehow (*^^*). I didn't realize that being "girly" is fun...if I've known it earlier I won't be so noob (=´▽｀). Well enough of the dramas **cough** **cough** 

 

I have been wanting to try other product that can cleanse and moisturize my skin. After quite sometime of browsing I bumped into the Human Nature products and read off that they are using organic ingredients..sounds very healthy (○⌒∇⌒○). I bought this 100 ml. bottle at Beauty Bar Robinsons Galleria at ₱110

 

  

It contains water, glycerine (vegetable derived), lactic acid (sugar derived), betaine (sugar beet derived), Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, Moringa pterygosperma (malunggay) seed extract, Citrus sinensis (orange) oil, chitosan, Pelargonium graveolens (geranium) oil.

This is recommended for dry or mature skin, it also promotes Moringa and Aloe Vera as its key ingredients on cleansing and and eliminating toxins on the skin. It has a sweet smell and does not sting the skin unlike other toners that contains alcohol. It does not make the skin dry after application instead you'd feel so refreshed ☆＾▽＾☆

Unfortunately, I was having super PMS breakouts and stress is killing me so much (*￣▽￣)o┳o┳━━

The toner was not enough to tame my oil glands that causes acne. Urghh! I find myself so weird XD

Overall, the product is still worth buying and to sum it all up~

What I like about it..

• Organic ingredients 
• Reasonable price 
• Sweet smell 
• Does not sting the skin 
• Very mild 

 What I don't like about it..

• It can't control acne problem

After wax care

After daring myself to go Brazilian~ thanks to Lay Bare waxing salon hehe! I have not forgotten to follow the guidelines of after wax care. This is my first time to try cold wax treatment and it was such a painful yet satisfying experience (*/∇＼*) キャ

I had to avoid hot bath,sweaty routines or there should be no watery activity at all because my skin pores are open and would be prone to allergic reaction. After like 8~10 hours I was able to wash myself normally and I did not forget to moisturize my skin specially those “parts” that has been waxed. 

You might want to try Nanny Rose's after wax salve. I've read this product over another blog and decided to try it. The packaging is so "earth friendly" as the product is wrapped by a brown carton box.  

  And this is where I bought it, product contents and its cost...such a lazy post (⌒▽⌒)

 The cream is inside a tin can..........I find this creative.

 What I like about it..

• Save Mother Earth packaging
• Chamomile scent
• Less to non-greasy feeling during application  
• Immediate moisturizing effect  

What I don't like about it..
