Review: Beauty UK ~ In The Buff

Hi Chingus! 

I'm still such a busy bee but I am making sure that I won't be leaving this space empty for a long time. Just like regular bloggers I have tons of pending post that I can't seem to update all at once. As mentioned before, I think lipsticks are getting onto my head so much. My recent obsession are Beauty UK's lippies. Immediately after playing around with their Hollywood Glam set, I decided to use one of the cream to matte finish lipstick 'In the Buff'. Same as before this was purchased at MakeupHOLICS and if I'm not mistaken this was around 450 pesos.

I fell in love with its rosy pink shade. I was also surprised by its minty scent, it's like putting candy on my lips. It's cream property makes it easy to glide on the lips and since its kinda matte it makes the shade last long on the lips. 

Sorry for the messy swatch, I got over excited on using the lipstick  LOL!

And the actual swatch on my lips. Since I am super busy I've only managed to do this decent picture after work today. I'd like to purchase other shades but I still have a handful of lippies that I need to use.

What I like about it...  

♡ Sleek packaging 

♡ Affordable 

♡ Good pigmentation and color is very opaque

♡ Moisturized feeling upon application 

♡ The shade does not fade easily

♡ Minty smell 

What I don't like about it...       

Since it has the property of a cream lipstick, I need to set it for about 2-3 minutes before a start talking or moving my lips so much. The color of the lipstick tends to go to my teeth. 

Will I try it again...?       

Yes, just give some time to consume my other lippies.  

Beauty UK Hollywood Glam Swatch

Hi Chingus!

As you can see, I'm trying to diligently write on my blog again. This post has been a backlog as this is featuring the beauty uk lipstick that I bought from MakeupHOLICS stall at Cinderella Megamall last March. Dang! I just remembered spending more than 1000 pesos for lippies XD

Ok..so our first stop would be beauty uk's hollywood glam statement lip set which was worth 550 pesos. It was such a super saver because you'll be getting 3 pieces of lipstick with different shades.

And here comes the actual tubes, their packaging reminds of NYX matte lipstick. I've search Beauty UK's website and other blogs but unfortunately the shades of this lipstick set is not individually named.

This shade reminds of of Nicki Minaj's Super Bass song (*≧▽≦)ﾉｼ))

 I find this nude shade very sexy ;D

And the final tube looks like a rose red to me..urgh! sorry if I'm bad when it comes to descriptions.

The swatches looks very creamy

I was trying hard to make actual lip swatches but I can't seem to get it right. I just decided to make crazy selca pictures wearing beauty uk's lipstick. I did this after work so I should apologize if you can see too many skin imperfections.

 I look a messy Nicki Minaj on this picture..the transformation just took seconds haha! I think I'll be using this shade on a future cosplay event.

I'm was so excited to have this nude shade, I just have to figure out when is the perfect event to wear this.

Duck face!!!! LOL! I look funny despite the fact that this shade is the most wearable of all. I hope you like this post. How about you, what's your favorite beauty uk product?

Review: E.L.F Eyelid Primer

How's your week doing? 

I've been caught up with many things at work but at least I can breakthrough all of that when I'm this space :D Although work is fully loaded, my interest on cosmetics and make-up application is still all time high.Though its not really required to look super good in my profession, I still believe that if I look pleasant it adds up on looking more professional.
They say that one way to attract attention is to have beautiful eyes. Having an eye make-up definitely brightens up the face. To keep my eyeshadow intact, I rely on eye primer. I may have a dry skin on my face but my eyelids are extremely oily.

I've been using this e.l.f. eyelid primer for quite sometime now. Other bloggers often compares this to expensive eye primer. Here in the Philippines there is only one shade available for e.l.f. eyelid primer which is Sheer.

If you also noticed, their package is simple and instruction on how to use the product is pretty much straightforward.

Using this doe foot wand, I find it easy to blend the primer all over my eyelids.

The actual primer is shimmery so you would need to blend it out evenly on your eyelid.

Please excuse the bushy eyebrows hehe! This picture was taken at my workplace so the lighting was quite good. I was using Avon's True Color Eyeshadow (Earth Tone) on this picture.

Here's another shot where I used frosted brown colored eyeshadow.

Please no harsh comments on the eyebrows hehe!....And this was taken when I got home from work. You can noticed that the color of the eyeshadow had faded already and it is starting to crease. And to sum it all up.....

What I like about it...

• Easy to blend and dries up quickly 
• Travel size packaging 
• Brighten up eyeshadow 
• Can somehow withstand my oily eyelids 

What I don't like about it...  

• Limited availability on your local department store
• Staying power is above average 
• Makes my eye make-up crease by the end of the day 

Will I try it again...?    

Yes. You can never judge a product by its price. You can't expect much on affordable cosmetics but e.l.f.'s eyelid primer was able to deliver good results. I have already considered this as a good find product. 

Avon Super Magnify Mascara

I've been keeping myself busy on ideas on what to write on my blog. I still have my small loot box full of products that I would like to write a review on LOL. I hope you guys won't get tired of me  Today, I'd be sharing to you my favorite mascara so far, which is Super Magnify Mascara by Avon. I've been using it since last year and I'm already on my second tube.

Product Description: "Leave no Lash Behind" Avon designed a brush that magnifies fullness and definition of eyelashes. It has 5:1 bristles-to-lash ratio that can reach smaller lashes. This waterproof mascara also offers smudge, clump and flake free formula which is also suitable to contact lens wearers (credits:http://media.avoncompany.com)

Directions: Prior to first use, take out the brush and re-insert it into the vial 2-3 times or until the teal portion is fully covered. This will ensure maximum shock and even coverage. Apply mascara in sweeping upward strokes with two coats for extreme results.

I used two coats of mascara on my upper lashes

What I like about it ..  

• Most of the time this is sold at a discounted price
• Waterproof/Sweatproof 
• Does not smudge
• Does not clump on the lashes 
• Easy application because of the wand bristles    
• One application last the whole day 

What I don't like about it ..    

• Can be purchased only at official Avon store outlets and Avon Lady representative
• Product is seasonal 
• Can be stubborn during make-up removal

Will I try it again?   

• Yes! Definitely! Although I have plans on splurging on expensive mascara this product is for keeps. The price matches the product's functionality and can somehow match up with other branded mascara.  

PR: Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer

My special day has not ended yet and I have a lot of things to share..... ♪~♪ d(⌒o⌒)b♪~♪

I made a review on Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer. Honestly, I just immediately picked this product without even looking at its shade (-ε-). I just wanted to replace my currently concealer sooo badly that I'd didn't took any time to check if this product has a good 
review ( _ _ )

This 7 gram liquid concealer is available on 2 shades: 

• Surprise Essence Concealer #1
• Surprise Essence Concealer #2 

I was able to pick the lightest shade (#1). It offers medium coverage on facial flaws. 

As you can see it has a tip applicator for easier use. 

A small amount can cover enough spot that you'd like to correct on your face as its formula is concentrated. I have been using this product for more than 2 months.

Urgh! （_ _，）/~~ I'm trying to conceal my green vein on my hand and it looks more decent now.

The concealer does not settle on the lines or crows feet of the eyes however, I noticed that somehow the concealer falls off. Maybe its just me...or I didn't put enough concealer or I didn't apply it correctly( _ _ ; )

And to sum it all up.....

What I like about it..

• Affordable ~ ₱298
• Easy to carry around 
• Blends well on the skin  

What I don't like about it..

• Provides medium coverage
• Only 2 shades available 
• Staying power is fair

Happy crazy rainy afternoon to all! I feel really sleepy (´～`). It's a good thing that I can still sit in front of my laptop to write (⌒□⌒). I want to share another Human Nature product which is the tinted lip balm that is 100% natural. 

Available in 3 shades: 

• Pink Orchid (pink)
• Island Kiss (coral)
• Flame Tree (red)

What I have is the Island Kiss shade. This 4 gram lip balm cost ₱90 available on all Beauty Bar and Human Nature store outlet. 

 

 

It contains Ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, beeswax, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, caprylic/capric triglyceride (coconut oil derived), Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Mentha piperita (peppermint) essential oil, Calendula officinalis (calendula) extract, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, tocopherol, (+/-): zinc oxide (CI 77497), iron oxide (CI 77491), manganese violet (CI 77742), mica (CI 77019), titanium dioxide (CI 77891)...wait these last ingredients are kinda scientific now σ(∧_∧；)

I like the peppermint scent  whenever I use this balm and it actually moisturizes my lips. FYI, some lip balms makes my lips chappy....weird eh?! ＼（〇_ｏ）／ I've also noticed that instead of a coral shade on my lips it's kinda brownish.....reddish..is that coral? Haha!（ _ _ ）..........o 

You may refer to the picture below of my bare lips. 

And the swatch of the tinted lip balm. 

Since this is only a tinted lip balm I really did not expect long wear effect. The only thing that I've noticed is my lips feels a "bit" dry after quite sometime. But still, this is a must buy product as it is organic and no synthetic colorant was used. It also has cocoa butter, beeswax and all-natural plant oils that helps lips to be moisturized. And to sum it all up~

 

What I like about it..

• Natural ingredients 
• Reasonable price 
• Peppermint smell 
• Loved its brownish to reddish tint 

 What I don't like about it..

• "My" lips felt dried somehow
